Samish Basin Portable Toilets
and Pet Waste Stations

Human and pet waste contribute to fecal coliform pollution in the Samish Basin. In an effort to reduce these pollution sources, the Clean Samish Initiative has installed portable toilets and pet waste stations throughout the watershed for birders, hunters, fishermen, and other recreational users. Please use these stations and help keep the Samish clean.

There are currently 17 pet waste stations throughout the watershed and 10 portable toilets. The map below lists all portable toilet and pet waste station locations in the Samish watershed. The effort to install these facilities and create a user-friendly map is meant to help residents and visitors recreate responsibly.

This map is a result of the efforts by Skagit County, the Skagit Conservation Education Alliance, Chuckanut Shellfish, and other organizations and individuals involved in the Clean Samish Initiative. Not all locations may be listed and some toilet locations are only operational on a seasonal basis.
