EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Washington State Supreme Court has adopted Order No. 25700-B-602 granting emergency authority to this Court to adopt, modify, and suspend court rules and orders, and to take further actions concerning court operations, as warranted to address the current state of emergency.
INFORMATION REGARDING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Due to the recent cases of the COVID-19 virus in nearby counties, Skagit County Superior Court and the Skagit County Facilities Management Division are undertaking daily applications of disinfectant throughout the courthouse. Additionally, hand sanitizer dispensers are located on the first and second floors of the Courthouse. While we are using our best efforts to keep the Courthouse a safe environment, you are reminded to wash your hands regularly, avoid touching your face and stay home if you are sick. THE SUPERIOR COURT IS CURRENTLY OPERATING UNDER EMERGENCY ORDER. THERE WILL BE NO JURY TRIALS UNTIL AFTER JULY 5, 2020
TO JURORS: All jurors are excused through July 5, 2020. If your summons includes a time period after July 5, 2020, please call the jury line on July 5, after 5:00 p.m. for more information about your jury service.
TO ATTORNEYS AND LITIGANTS: Other than in-custody criminal hearings, all court appearances will take place over the phone. Please refer to the Daily Calendar for information on how to access your hearing. The Clerk’s Office has established emergency procedures for filing documents for your court hearings that can be found here.
