EX PARTE ORDERS

**Please check Odyssey for confirmation of filing.**

Front Counter Personal Appearance:  Ex parte matters are heard Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:15 pm.  Please appear personally at the Clerk’s Office between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm for same day processing.  After you have presented your order, you may wish to come to the Clerk’s Office to obtain or conform your copies. The courthouse closes at 4:30.

Ex Parte by Mail:  Please send your original documents, at least one set of copies for the Clerk’s Office to conform, a self-addressed stamped envelope and the ex parte fee of $30.00.  If the fee is not included, all documents will be mailed back to you.

Ex Parte at Counter Not Requiring Personal Appearance:  You may leave documents with counter staff if you are unable to attend the ex parte calendar at 1:15.  Please include any copies for the Clerk’s Office to conform, a self-addressed stamped envelope, and the ex parte fee of $30.00.

Ex-Parte via eSubmission: Online    If you are not appearing in person, the $30 ex parte fee applies.  Upon review of your document submission, our office will send you a payment link. 

eSubmission ex parte matters must receive an ‘Approval’ or a ‘Received’ acceptance by the Clerk’s Office before 10:30 am the day of hearing. After the ex parte hearing, you may wish to come to the Clerk’s Office to obtain copies or the documents will be available in Odyssey for viewing within approximately 48 hours.

EXCEPTION:
Civil Protection Orders-Pursuant to RCW 7.105.105 there is NO ex parte deadline for "an ex parte temporary protection order, because these are often emergent situations, the court shall prioritize review, either entering an order without a hearing or scheduling and holding an ex parte hearing in person, by telephone, by video, or by other electronic means on the day the petition is filed if possible."
