Junk Vehicles |
Do you have a junk vehicle on your property that you would like to dispose of? If so, these licensed and titled vehicles require a Junk Vehicle Affidavit Inspection before proper disposal. To start the inspection process, please call the Skagit County Sheriff’s non-emergency line at (360) 428-3211.
To qualify as a junk vehicle affidavit, a vehicle must meet 3 of the following conditions:
- At least 3 years old
- Extensively damaged
- Apparently inoperable
- Have fair market value equal only to the approximate value of the scrap in it
Junk Vehicle Affidavits can also be obtained through Skagit County Health Department (360) 416-1500 and Skagit County Code Enforcement (360) 416-1320.
After the junk vehicle affidavit process is completed, the property owner can call a tow truck or scrapper to remove the vehicle. The property owner will likely have to pay for the removal.
Transfer Station Disposal
- Previously demolished campers or pick-up canopies are accepted at the Ovenell Transfer Station. They must be demolished into 4 foot pieces.
