Fee Increase for Assignments, Appointments, Resignations, and Substitutions of Deeds of Trust effective July 27, 2025
Due to recent passage of HB 1858, the fee for recording assignments, appointments, resignations, and substitutions of previously recorded deeds of trust will go up. The fee for these documents will change from $18.00 to $301.00 for the first page. Additional page fees remain at $1.00. The exemption that previously applied to these documents has been rescinded, except for the Urban Planning Surcharge of $2.50.
⚠ Effective July 27, 2025, the fee to issue a marriage license will increase from $64.00 to $164.00. Any marriage applications received in person or by mail after close of business July 25, are subject to the additional fee.
