DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This contract provides for the improvement of Helmick Road. This project consists
of rebuilding approximately 6800 feet of Helmick Road between SR 20 and Nuwha-Ah
Lane, installation of a 150 foot concrete bridge, improvements at the intersection
of SR 20 and Helmick Road, and creek channel improvements and other work all
in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, the
Standard Plans, and the 2006 Washington State Department of Transportation Standard
Specifications for Road Bridge and Municipal Construction.
RANGE: $3,870,000 - $4,730,000
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on May 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Skagit County Parks Department large gravel parking lot on the west side of Helmick Road.
BID OPENING
All bids must be submitted as required in the bid documents. Bids submitted
electronically will not be accepted. Sealed bids shall be received before May
30, 2006, at the hour of: 1:30 p.m. Sealed bids will be received and publicly
opened in the Commissioners Hearing Room, 1800 Continental Place, Mount
Vernon, Washington, on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at the hour of 1:30 p.m., or as
