FLOOD WARNING
IN EFFECT ON SKAGIT, MANY ROAD CLOSURES
SOUTH SKAGIT HIGHWAY CLOSED AT MILEPOST 12.2 FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS
SKAGIT COUNTY - The South Skagit Highway is closed at Milepost 12.2 for emergency
repairs. The United States Army Corps of Engineers will conduct the repair operation
and work through the evening. Milepost 12.2 is located near the Finney Cumberland
Road. Residents living east of Milepost 12.2 will have to detour on SR-20.
The Skagit River crested at 33.78 feet at 8:15 a.m. today at Concrete. For the
Mount Vernon gauge, the current prediction is for a peak of 31.6 feet at 10
p.m. Saturday evening. Flood stage in Concrete and Mount Vernon is 28 ft.

- Swan Road from Thilberg
to Mud Lake Road

The public is advised to not drive through standing water on roadways and obey
"closed road" signs.
County and Army Corps of
Engineers officials, and work crews continue to monitor the situation closely
