Dahlstedt elected to board of state counties association

SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Commissioner Ken Dahlstedt was elected to two leadership positions at the annual Leaders Conference hosted by the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC), November 18-20 in Spokane.

WSAC Executive Director Eric Johnson reports that Dahlstedt was elected to the WSAC Board of Directors and also as one of two state representatives to the National Association of Counties (NACo).

WSAC is an Olympia-based organization that serves to build a statewide legislative agenda, seeking to pass helpful legislation as well as acting against proposed legislation that could be harmful to counties.
NACo assists America’s 3,069 counties “in pursuit of excellence in delivery of public services.” Among current NACo activities is the Healthy Counties Initiative.
