SKAGIT RIVER FLOOD WATCH
Skagit County, WA
The most recent river levels are as follows:

  • Concrete – 28.92 feet at 8:15 am
  • Mount Vernon – 27.79 feet at 8:00 am

The Skagit River at Concrete crested at 1:45 am this morning at 30.14 feet, as posted by the USGS. This was below the forecasted crest of 33.3 feet.
The River continues to rise in Mount Vernon and a crest of 28.54 feet is forecasted at 4:00 pm this afternoon. Flood stage for both locations is 28 feet.
The American Red Cross set up two emergency shelters at:

  • St. Catherine Catholic Mission at 45603 Limestone Street, Concrete.
  • Hamilton First Baptist Church at 797 Hamilton Cemetery Road. 

The shelters are intended for people that need to evacuate to escape the flooding. Given the falling river levels, the shelters plan to close later today.
