Vouchers offered for disposal of flood-damaged debris
Skagit County residents who suffered flood damage during the Thanksgiving weekend can pick up vouchers for free disposal of flood-damaged items and debris beginning Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017.
Residents can pick up the vouchers in person at the Commissioners Administration Building, 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, or the East County Resource Center, 45770 Main Street, Concrete. To receive a voucher, residents will need to bring picture ID and provide proof of residency – such as a utility bill.
Residents are limited to one voucher per household, and can dispose of no more than one pickup truck and trailer load of flood-damaged debris (no commercial debris). Vouchers are good through Dec. 31, 2017, at the Skagit Transfer Station on Ovenell Road or the Sauk Transfer Station in Concrete.
For additional questions about the voucher program, contact Public Works Solid Waste Division Manager Margo Gillaspy at 360-416-1441 or margog@co.skagit.wa.us.
