Welcome to Skagit County

Share your input on future of Skagit County Parks and Recreation
After four public meetings hosted this spring and summer throughout the county, the Skagit County Parks and Recreation Department is now seeking the community’s feedback on future priorities through a public survey.
The survey adds to the information already gathered at public meetings, and will help the county get better information for its six-year comprehensive plan update. The focus of the update is to plan and provide needed park facilities for Skagit County’s growing population.
Survey responses are being accepted online through Dec. 1: https://surveymonkey.com/r/scpr2018compplan
The updated plan is intended to lay the groundwork for the future of the county park systems, and will be the guiding document for county-affiliated programs and parks, including open spaces and paths. It explores potential park development and improvements, prioritizes strategies to meet and achieve a level of service that fits the needs of county residents, and describes existing and potential funding sources needed to meet the desired level of service, and maintain park facilities and recreation service.
