October 3, 2025 Skagit County Solicits Public Input on Draft 2025-2030 Skagit County 5-Year Homeless Housing PlanThe Skagit County Board of Commissioners is now soliciting public comment on the draft Skagit County 5-Year Homeless Housing Plan. The draft has been developed by Skagit County Public Health, and a task force comprised of North Star Advisory Group members, community partners, and people with lived experience. The plan establishes priorities and actionable goals to guide funding decisions and reduce homelessness in Skagit County over the next five years (2025-2030) and is required by the Washington State Department of Commerce. The full draft of the Skagit County 5-Year Homeless Housing Plan is available on our webpage or during regular business hours at Skagit County Public Health (301 Valley Mall Way, Suite 110, Mount Vernon). Public comments on the draft plan are invited to be submitted as follows:
All written comments (email, mailed, or hand-delivered) must be identified with the subject “5-Year Homeless Housing Plan”. Please include your full name and contact information along with your comments. All written comments must be received prior to 4:30 p.m. on November 5, 2025, to be considered. If you plan to attend the public hearing and need accommodation, please call the Board of Skagit County Commissioners at least three days in advance to discuss and arrange.
