September 10, 2026 Skagit County Public Health Solicits Feedback on Proposed Changes to the Schedule of ChargesSkagit County Public Health is seeking feedback on proposed changes to its Schedule of Charges that would take effect January 1, 2027. The proposed changes include fee increases for select Environmental Health services, including Retail Food Safety, On-Site Sewage, Drinking Water, and miscellaneous Environmental Health services with hourly rates. Updates to some Vital Records charges are also proposed. The proposed changes are intended to more closely align fees with the cost of providing services and support the long-term sustainability of these programs. Public Hearing The Skagit County Board of Health will hold a formal public hearing on Monday, October 5, from 2:00–3:00 PM.
