Appointments Now Available to Submit Permit Applications

Skip the lines! Starting August 1, Skagit County Planning & Development Services will offer appointments to submit building permit applications.

If your building permit is complete and ready to submit, you may make a 60-minute appointment with staff to submit the application. Staff will review the application for completeness during your appointment and assist you with making any minor corrections. Your building permit application checklist should be fully complete to ensure your appointment is successful and to avoid delay in processing your application.

Appointments will be scheduled for 8:00 am, 9:30, 11:00, 1:30 pm, and 3:00.

Walk-in assistance is still available for both permit applications and general information, but is subject to waits for available staff. Office hours for walk-in assistance are Mon-Fri, 9 am – noon and 1 – 3:30 pm. The office is closed noon – 1 pm. Walk-ins should arrive significantly before lunch or closing.
