SKAGIT COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT SEEKS PARTICIPATION FOR CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO REVIEW DRINKING WATER REGULATIONS

COUNTY - Skagit County Health Department is seeking to establish a Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) to review proposed changes to the Drinking Water regulations (Skagit County Code 12.48). There will be a Phase 1 review of the regulations as they pertain to implementation of the newly adopted Skagit instream flow rule (WAC 173-503), plus updates to make the code consistent with current State drinking water regulations. Phase 1 is to be completed by December 31, 2006. Phase 2 will review all other sections of SCC 12.48 and will take place in the last half of 2007.

Skagit County is seeking citizens to participate on the committee who represent a wide variety of interests with specific knowledge and experience in drinking water health and safety issues, land use issues, best available science and/or other related subjects.
