Environmental Health office moving to downtown Mount Vernon

Skagit County Environmental Health is getting a new address and phone number.

Starting Wednesday, June 29, county residents can access Skagit County Public Health services – including garbage and junk vehicle complaints, shellfish safety questions, air quality concerns and more – at 700 S. 2nd Street in downtown Mount Vernon. The department’s new phone number is 360-416-1500.

The move consolidates the county’s Public Health services in one location. Previously, Environmental Health offices were located in the Commissioners’ Administration Building at 1800 Continental Place.

The only service still offered at the Continental Place location is on-site septic system permit applications.
