River restoration proposal prompts community meeting to discuss park plan update for Pressentin
SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Parks will co-host a community meeting Thursday, June 18 at Marblemount Community Hall to discuss long-term plans for the undeveloped Pressentin Park.
Skagit County and the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group (SFEG) have received funding for a fish habitat restoration project in the park.
Prompted by this grant from the Salmon Recovery Funding Board, the County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and SFEG representatives will discuss restoration options and solicit community input regarding general long-term plans for the park.
Elements of a plan range from trails to interpretive signs and salmon viewing station. The Parks Board and SFEG invite you to learn more about this project and to provide feedback that will help with design and planning. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
