COVID-19 Updates from Skagit County
Local COVID-19 Case, Hospital & Vaccine Data
Skagit County’s 7-day case rate has increased by 13 percent since last week and our 7-day hospitalization rate has increased by 63 percent. Unfortunately, 2 COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Skagit County. Our County remains at a “High” disease transmission level.
Public Health has been notified that local hospitals are seeing a recent increase in patients being admitted for COVID-19 related complications. Individuals at highest risk remain those 65 years of age and older, those who are immunocompromised, and those who are not vaccinated. It is recommended that these individuals wear well-fitting masks when indoors and when gathering in groups of people outside of their households to reduce their risk.
Booster Updates
Boosters for children 5-11 years old are now available at the Public Health Vaccine Clinic beginning today Wednesday (5/25). Make an appointment by going to www.skagitcounty.net/covidvaccine or drop in any time on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between 11am-4pm.
Vaccine at the Public Health Office
COVID-19 prime, pediatric, and booster vaccinations are available at the Public Health office in downtown Mount Vernon at 700 S 2nd Street. The clinic is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Treatment Options
COVID-19 medications are now available through your doctor, local pharmacies, and health clinics. If you have COVID-19 symptoms and test positive, do not wait to get treated. Early intervention with COVID-19 therapeutics can reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization for people with COVID-19 who are at high risk of developing more serious illness.

COVID-19 Testing Site at Cascade Mall
Free antigen COVID-19 testing is available at our Cascade Mall location at 150 Cascade Mall Drive in Burlington. Please come to the east side of the mall parking lot near the old Johnny Carino’s restaurant. Services are available on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Free at-home test kits are now available at Public Health’s Testing Site at Cascade Mall, as well as online through the following sites:
