TYNE APPOINTED INTERIM SKAGIT COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDER

SKAGIT COUNTY – Keith W. Tyne has been appointed interim Public Defender for Skagit County, replacing Gary I. Gaer, who has stepped down from the position due to illness. Tyne previously served as Chief Deputy.

The Skagit County’s Public Defender office provides defense services for indigents charged with criminal offenses, juveniles charged with criminal offenses, at-risk juveniles, indigent parents in child dependency cases and respondents in mental health proceedings.

Tyne holds a law degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He has been employed by the Public Defenders office since 1990.
