DRAFT BAYVIEW RIDGE SUBAREA PLAN AND DRAFT DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS AVAILABLE
FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT
SKAGIT COUNTY the Bayview Ridge Draft Subarea Plan, Development Standards, and the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) are available for public review effective March 26, 2004, according to Gary Christensen, Assistant Director, Skagit County Planning and Permit Center. The Bayview Ridge Subarea Area includes 4,011 acre area located north and west of Mount Vernon and west of Burlington. The proposed subarea plan contemplates how development will be managed during the next 10-plus years.
The FEIS addresses the impacts of adoption of the proposed Draft Subarea Plan and three alternative land use scenarios; the Draft Development Standards, and includes responses to public comments received on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. The FEIS and the Draft Bayview Ridge Subarea Plan and Draft Development Standards are part of Skagit Countys response to orders from the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board.
Public comments are welcome on the proposed Draft Bayview Ridge Subarea Plan and Development Standards and will be forwarded in their entirety to Skagit County Planning Commission for consideration during the upcoming community comment process.
Agencies and members of the public are invited to comment on the Draft Bayview Ridge Subarea Plan, and the Draft Development Standards. The methods and deadlines for providing comment are as follows:
Public Hearing: The Skagit County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, in Hearing Rooms B and C of the Skagit County Administrative Building.
Written Comment: Written comment, including facsimile transmissions, will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2004, and must be sent to the Skagit County Planning and Permit Center, 200 W. Washington, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Comments must be submitted on 8 ½ x 11 size for reproduction purposes. Maps must be in black and white and also reduced to that size. Comments submitted via e-mail will not be accepted.
