PUBLIC INVITED TO MARINE RESOURCES COMMITTEE MEETING

ANACORTES – The public is invited to attend the Skagit County Marine Resources Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Anacortes Public Library at 1209 9th Street, Anacortes.

Topics of discussion will include project updates on the Skagit Bay Restoration blueprint, Pacific Oyster Monitoring, and the Shore Stewards Program.

A video, entitled “Saving Inky” will be shown and discussed. The video was produced by the National Aquarium in Baltimore and demonstrates how common balloons have been shown to have unexpected detrimental impacts to the marine environment.
