This afternoon, the National Weather Service and Northwest River Forecast Center downgraded tomorrow’s predicted flood crest. The crest is now expected to be 27.82 feet in Concrete at roughly 4 p.m. tomorrow, and 27.38 feet in Mount Vernon at roughly 4 a.m. Wednesday, March 2. the Samish River is forecasted to crest at 8.17 feet at approximately 10 p.m. today.

At this height, some water over roadways is expected particularly in low-lying areas including Swan Road, Francis Road, Sterling Road, Cabin Creek Road, Whitmarsh Road (in Burlington), Martin Road (Rockport) and potentially Cape Horn.
