Spotlight Film Festival continues with documentary on February 11 at Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON – Coming this week to the Lincoln Theatre in downtown Mount Vernon is a free showing of “Having It All,” the third in a five-part documentary film series intended to raise awareness about issues affecting our children and families.

“Having It All” examines the lives of three women who set out to live their dreams of balancing career, marriage, and children. After two trying years of unanticipated trade-offs and painful sacrifices, each finds herself with a changed life and a changed idea of what HAVING IT ALL really means.

The film will be presented from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 11. Filmmaker Vlada Knowlton will be present for a discussion after the viewing. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5.
The Spotlight Film Festival was conceived to address the visions of a number of local groups and coalitions, with the Skagit County Public Health Department serving to connect all parties toward a common goal of educating the community.

“Each of the documentaries in The Spotlight Film Festival is intended to raise awareness,” said Jennifer Sass-Walton.

Subsequent films are “Paper Tigers” and “Horse Boy.” For details see skagitspotlightfilmfestival.com.
