SKAGIT COUNTY ENCOURAGES PARTICIPATION IN SURVEY

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Natural Resources Division of Skagit County Public Works is fielding a survey this month to a random sample of property owners in Skagit County. The purpose of the survey is to capture property owners’ experiences and opinions about a variety of issues relating to lifestyle and land use that can impact natural resources.

The County has contracted with Applied Research Northwest in Bellingham to help develop the scientific survey, collect responses and conduct the analysis of findings. The report will be available in March.

“We encourage everyone who receives a letter asking for their participation to respond--every response is important in a study like this,” said Dan Berentson, Director of Public Works. “Even though people’s answers will be grouped together into graphics and tables, each individual property owner’s answers will help show the full range of people’s preferences and experiences,” he said.
