Skagit County to hold public meetings on Skagit River Basin water rights

SKAGIT COUNTY - Skagit County will hold two public information meetings regarding water rights in the Skagit River Basin. Recent basin closures by the Department of Ecology could impact property values in large areas of Skagit County, and property owners are encouraged to attend to learn more about their options. County commissioners and staff will be in attendance.

The meetings will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Conway School in Conway

Monday, November 7, 2011, at the Big Lake School east of Mount Vernon
