Featuring the Museum's fabulous collection of baskets, stone tools, canoes and
other artifacts from over 30 Coast Salish and other tribes.
Skagit Topic July 30th 1 to 4 PM. Basket weaving demonstrations by the Vi Philips
Basketry Guild and Northwest Basket Weavers.
Skagit Topic August 14th
2 to 4 PM. Native Carving by Felix Solomon
An award-winning Lummi canoe carver, Solomon has been recognized by the Smithsonian
Institute for his carving. He has also received the Bellingham Mayor's Arts
Award for his contributions in education and
preservation of Coast Salish art.
The family friendly Skagit County Historical Museum is located at 501 S. 4th
Street, at the top of the hill in La Conner.
