Senior Driver Refresher Course can reduce insurance rates

SKAGIT COUNTY The next scheduled session of Getting There Early, a senior driver refresher course, will occur on Thursday, July 8 and Friday, July 9 at the Mount Vernon Senior Center located at 1401 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, Washington 98273.

This eight-hour class, divided into two four-hour sessions, is specifically designed for the senior driver. Persons 55 years of age and older who complete the program, will qualify for a modest reduction in their automobile insurance.

There is a $10 fee per person for this class. Please make checks out to WTSEA and bring them to class on Thursday, July 8, 2010.

The two daytime sessions will run from 9am until 1pm on July 8 and July 9. To enroll in the upcoming class, or for more information, contact Kathryn Bowen, Skagit County Public Works Department, at (360) 336-9333, ext. 13140. We ask that all participants pre-register.
