The goal of the Skagit River General Investigation is to identify the challenges and opportunities associated with managing flood risk and to develop a watershed scale flood risk management plan.

The purpose of this meeting is to present preliminary alternatives and to solicit feedback from the community on the proposed solutions. Each alternative uses a combination of projects and actions that work in combination as a comprehensive flood risk management strategy.

The preliminary alternatives will be further refined based on public input and additional technical analysis. More information on the General Investigation and the preliminary alternatives can be found here. The presentation will be televised by Skagit 21.

For more information, or to submit comments on the preliminary alternatives, please contact Daniel Johnson, Project Manager, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, at daniel.e.johnson@usace.army.mil or (206) 764-3423. Comments on preliminary alternatives should be submitted no later than May 24.
