Here are some tips for buying tickets:

  • All fares are round-trip, and tickets need to be presented for boarding at the Anacortes terminal only.
  • Tickets will be in the form of a QR code. If you purchase by a method that allows you to receive your Ticket QR code by email but you do not receive it, please check your Junk/Spam email folders. The QR code sender will be: info@getanchor.io
  • ALL tickets will expire at 12/31/2025 at 11:59pm.
  • Peak tickets can be used year round
  • Peak tickets are valid year-round, but refunds will not be issued for usage during non-peak seasons.
  • The ferry operates first-come, first-served.
  • Tickets are available for sale at the ticket office at the Anacortes terminal; however, pre-purchasing online or via the mobile app will simplify the boarding process.
  • Vehicle tickets include the vehicle and driver only. All additional passengers MUST have their own ticket, unless they are 18 and under.
  •  Free transit for youth 18 and under: the Guemes Island Ferry, as well as many Washington State transit agencies, offer fare-free rides for youth under 18. Funding for this program comes from the Climate Commitment Act www.climate.wa.gov
  • Kids 18 and under do NOT need to purchase a ticket prior to arrival at the ferry, unless they are the primary driver of the vehicle boarding the ferry. If they are driving onto the ferry (as the driver and not a passenger) they will need to purchase an adult vehicle and driver fare corresponding to the type of vehicle they are operating.
  •  Kids 18 and under will be provided a ticket at the time of departure. They may need to provide proof of age by presenting a valid photo ID.
  • Have your IDs ready for purchasing senior (age 65+) or disabled fares at the ticket office.
  • When measuring your vehicle for oversize fares, please include the total length, including any overhang. Ferry staff will measure again before boarding; if you’ve overpaid or underpaid, you’ll need to come to the ticket office to get the correct ticket.
  • If you are unsure of which ticket to purchase, please ask a crew member for assistance.
  • ALL sales are final and no refunds will be issued.

Here is some helpful boarding information for your upcoming trip:
