The Civil Service Commission is established in compliance with Revised Code of Washington 41.14 to establish a merit system of employment for Skagit County deputy sheriffs and other employees of the Office of the Skagit County Sheriff.

The Civil Service Commission coordinates the selection and hiring of all job openings in the Sheriff’s Office. They also conduct hearings and investigations regarding termination or disciplinary actions.
