Notice of Call for Bids: Skagit County Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning

Contractor will supply all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to semi-annually cleaning of three kitchen hoods at the Skagit County Community Justice Center (B016), 201 Suzanne Lane, Mount Vernon, WA and (1) one kitchen hood at the Concrete Community Center (B121), 45821 Railroad Street, Concrete, Washington 98237. Internal cleanliness must meet specifications in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. Contractor shall not start work until a schedule has been provided for Skagit County Facilities Management and official notice to proceed has been issued.

• A. Contractor will schedule and coordinate the best times for cleaning with the County at least 14 days in advance.
• B. The current scope only includes (six) semi-annually (as required) invoiced inspection cycles at three hoods at the Community Justice Center, and (one) annual hood inspection (as required) at the Concrete Community Center although the County may add hood systems in other County-owned properties, if necessary.
• C. For each semi-annual and annual invoiced hood cleaning/inspection will be as follows in attached bid form.

The attached Bid Proposal Form and Certification of Wage Compliance must be received by 3:00 PM on Monday - March 16, 2026. County preference is to receive via email with scanned documents attached to epeterson@co.skagit.wa.us, although bids can also be delivered to the receptionist at 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, WA. or mailed to Skagit County Facilities Management, 1730 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. No late proposals will be accepted, and the results will be shared with all vendors that submit a proposal.
