Request for Proposal for Backup and Recovery System
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Skagit County with a proposal to replace our current on premise backup and recovery system. For the purpose of this proposal, the project will be called Backup and Recovery System (“BRS”). The ideal Proposer will be an established industry-recognized solution for the BRS that meets Skagit County’s specific requirements, as documented in this RFP and within the budget available to Skagit County.
Background
Skagit County has been using disk and tape technologies for our backup and recovery system for many years now.
With the increasing risk imposed on disaster recovery systems, Skagit County has opted to replace our backup and recovery technology to incorporate air-gap and immutable backups. Skagit County uses both physical and virtual servers. Virtual Servers are hosted using VMWare with Veeam as our backup technology solution.
