INVITATION TO BID
SKAGIT COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

PAVING MAINTENANCE FAIRGROUNDS/SKAGIT PLAYFIELDS

The project consists of the removal of existing asphalt paving and installation of new asphalt paving at the Skagit County Fairgrounds and the Skagit Playfields. The estimate is $90,000 for the Fairgrounds and $195,000 for the Playfields site not including Washington State Sales Tax.

Bids will be received on Monday, September 12th, 2022 until 2:45pm at the Skagit County Parks Department, 1730 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, Washington 98273.

Bids must be received prior to the bid opening time. Bid Proposals will be recorded as to time and date received and secured until the time set for the opening. All bids must be plainly identified as:

TIME OF COMPLETION:
It is the Owner’s intent to have both sites completed in 2022, however due to the possibility of supply chain issues and subject to weather, the Undersigned agrees, if awarded the Contract and after the Notice to Proceed, to substantially complete the project by March 31st, 2023.

NON-MANDOTORY BID MEETING:
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference for prospective bidders will be held on site Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. The meeting will take place at 9:00 a.m. at the project site address 1410 Virginia Street for the fairgrounds site. The meeting will then move to the Skagit Valley Playfields site located at 2700 Martin Road Mount Vernon, WA.

Technical questions regarding the project must be submitted by email to Peter Carletti peter@carlettiarchitects.com. Questions must be received by Monday, September 5th, 2022. Carletti Architects will provide a confirmation of the question(s) receipt within 24 hours; if a bidder does not receive such confirmation it is solely responsible to re-send the question(s). Owner’s responses will be provided to all bidders by addendum. No oral responses from the Owner or its representatives may be relied upon by bidders.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional Bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Work, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents.
