If you are a juvenile, you are entitled to a public defender regardless of the income of your family. HOW TO APPLY FOR A PUBLIC DEFENDER?If you don’t already have an attorney, contact the Office of Assigned Counsel (OAC). They will review your financial information to see if you qualify for a public defender, and if so, send a referral to the Public Defender Office.
