The Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board is convened to assist the county in planning County-funded programs and to help determine needs in the community that should be addressed. The Board also provides outreach in Skagit County for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Skagit County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board envisions a future in which Skagit County has a clear, compassionate, accessible service system that is committed to community acceptance, well-being, independence and inclusion of all individuals with developmental disabilities.
Anyone is welcome to attend the DD Advisory Board meetings. You may also send comments to the DD County Coordinator to have read at a meeting if you are unable to attend.
Our mission is to promote prosperity and community inclusion through advocacy. Our visible presence in the community promotes Pride, Hope, Independence, and Respect for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
