Health announces Septics 101 and 201 class schedules
SKAGIT COUNTY The Skagit County Public Health Department announced its
upcoming Septics 101 and Septics 201 class schedule for 2012. The free Septics
classes will inform and educate homeowners on septic system operation and maintenance,
monitoring, cost-saving operations, public health concerns surrounding their
use, and problem-preventing maintenance procedures. The classes will also discuss
available financial resources for homeowners who need to repair or replace a
failing septic system, including a $100 rebate program for participants who
attend a Septics 101 class. More septic system information can be found on the

Septics 101 schedule:
The Skagit County Public
Health Department will also hold Septics 201 classes. Participants must take
Septics 101 before enrolling in the 201 inspection training class. Septics 201
will provide homeowner training on how to inspect a conventional gravity septic
system as well as how to complete a septic system inspection form. Septics 201
courses are limited to 30 people each; participants must register at least seven
days in advance for the class.
