The Fire Marshal's Office provides the following services:
  • Investigation of fire/arson scenes
  • Review of building plans and inspections of commercial construction as per fire codes
  • Inspection of emergency vehicle access for all building permits issued for the unincorporated Skagit County implementation of life safety inspection program in existing buildings
  • Outdoor burning permitting and regulation
  • Implementation and maintenance of other programs as required
    (i.e.: public education, fire works permits, etc.).

    The Fire Marshal's Office employs two full time staff members:

Fire Marshal staff is on call for responses to emergency situations seven days week 365 days a year.
