Planning and Development Services
Make an Appointment to Apply for a Permit
Planning & Development Services now offers and requires appointments to submit the following types of applications:
- Building or grading permits
- Land division
- Shoreline permits
- Special use permits
All other application types are accepted as walk-ins, but if you have multiple walk-in applications, you must make an appointment, which are usually available within 2-3 days. Call 360-416-1320 to make an appointment.
Make sure your application is complete. To ensure we can perform a complete and efficient review, we only accept complete applications. To ensure your appointment is successful, please make sure your entire permit application is complete, and you bring all of the required components and documentation.
Use the latest forms. As we revise our permitting process and move toward accepting online applications, we have recently updated many of our permit application forms, and further revisions are likely. Please be sure you are always using the latest forms by downloading the form fresh each time you use it from www.skagitcounty.net/pdsforms.
