What: Operations Update, Guemes Parking Lot Project, Ferry Replacement Project
Who: Skagit County Board of Commissioners, Captain Rachel Rowe, Glosten
We encourage all Skagit County residents to attend. Board of Commissioners Chair Ron Wesen, Commissioner Ken Dahlstedt and Commissioner Lisa Janicki, along with Public Works staff and a Glosten representative, will be present to discuss an operations update and upcoming projects with Guemes Island and county residents.
Rachel Rowe, Ferry Operations Division Manager, will discuss 2017 ridership and revenue statistics, and the ferry fare revenue target report. The 2017 Ferry Fare Revenue Target Report is available online at skagitcounty.net/ferry
Guemes parking lot project
Improvements to the Guemes parking lot are scheduled for 2018. Engineering Division Manager Keith Elefson, will discuss the project scope, concept design and cost estimate.
Ferry Replacement Project
Glosten, naval architecture firm, will present and answer questions about the design studies, including the vessel capacity study and the transportation system assessment.
