Learn about six-year Transportation Improvement Program at Sept. 14 meeting
“When will you pave my road?” “Why haven’t you fixed this intersection?”
If you’ve ever wondered when (and why) Skagit County Public Works will do transportation projects around the county, you’re encouraged to come to a public meeting Sept. 14.
Public Works staff will present the draft six-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Skagit County Administrative Building, 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon.
The TIP outlines the county’s planned road, bridge, ferry, non-motorized and other related transportation projects for the next six years, from 2018 to 2023. If you’re curious about projects planned in your neighborhood, you’re invited to share your questions and comments with Public Works staff during the meeting.
