    Skagit County Commissioners Adopt Marine Recovery Areas For Onsite Sewage Disposal Systems
    On September 16, 2008 the Skagit County Board of Commissioners signed Ordinance #020080011 adopting Marine Recovery Areas for On Site Sewage Disposal Systems.

    West Nile Virus has been found in a sampling of mosquitoes collected July 7 from a site south of Grandview near the Benton-Yakima County border. The Health Department still recommends taking personal precautions.(more)


    ARSENIC INFORMATION
    Most arsenic in drinking water comes from natural rock formations. As water flows through these formations, it can dissolve arsenic and carry it into underground aquifers, streams or rivers that may be used as drinking water supplies. (more on the Drinking Water Web Site)

    Skagit County Board of Health Amends Skagit County Code 12.05, On-site Sewage Systems and adopts the Skagit County On Site Sewage Management Plan
    The on-site sewage code, SCC 12.05, was revised to coincide with a recently adopted State code, WAC 246-272A.(more)
