Commissioners Extend Comment Period on Interim Ordinance for Moratorium On Applications For Wetland Mitigation Banks

SKAGIT COUNTY - Skagit County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, WA, on Tuesday, March 17, at 9:00 a.m. to receive public testimony and/or written correspondence on the provisions of Interim Ordinance O20090001. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Commissioners agreed to extend the public comment period through Friday, March 20, 4:30 p.m.

Interim Ordinance No. O20090001 declares an emergency and adopts a moratorium on the acceptance of applications for wetland mitigation banks on lands zoned Agricultural - Natural Resource (Ag-NRL).

Written comments must be submitted on 8½” by 11” paper in black and white. Maps and other documents must be in black and white and on 8½” by 11” paper for reproduction purposes. E-mails will not be accepted.
